SUPER EXCITED!...

We have begun installing more than 50 Air Quality Sensors across Wales, and in the coming months we will have the largest live Air Quality Sensor Network in the country. Think Air has been labour of love for more than 2 years, not to mention the blood, sweat and tears along the way! We couldn’t have come this far without the support of our clients who have all contributed by contracting various services to Vindico. As a great example proceeds from the new Scarlets Rugby website will go towards sensors and raising awareness in their region and beyond. Understanding the issues and changing behaviour must start with accurate measurement. That data must be accessible, affordable and and simple to understand. Sneak peak at our app and dashboards

Managing data on the success of Cancer Support Services...

We are delighted and proud to have completed this project with University of Wales Trinity Saint David as part of a KESS-funded PhD studentship in partnership with Tenovus Cancer Care. We’ve created an interactive platform to help manage data on the success of cancer support services/initiatives offered by Tenovus Cancer Care and added simplification and visualisation to reports and dashboards to identify flags for anxiety and depression. “KESS-funded PhD studentships have a strong focus on building partnerships with industry and local companies, so the opportunity to engage with Vindico on this project has added an extra element of collaborative innovation which we hope we can continue to build on in further work” Dr Ceri Phelps, Academic Director: Psychology and Counselling It’s wonderful to be able to deliver a piece of work like this, so a huge thank you to Dr Ceri Phelps and UWTSD for bringing this opportunity to

Discussing the Challenges of Air Pollution...

Delighted to entertain a delegation of Chinese officials today to discuss the challenges of Air Pollution and what we are doing here in Wales to bring low cost accurate sensor data to the masses. It was incredible to hear exactly the same stories, the trip to school, the car idling issue, the complication of understanding the data, just on a much larger scale. I’ve always been of the opinion that if you can make something work in Wales you can make it work anywhere, we are like a wonderful biodome of innovation, and our Chinese friends were in agreement. We have more announcements coming in the next few weeks as we are starting to gain significant ground in this sector. Exciting

Reducing Pollution and Costs...

Our children are the most important to us, and we’d do anything to keep them safe. The impact of pollution not only depends on how it’s emitted, how dangerous it is, but it also depends on where it’s emitted, how long it stays in the atmosphere and finally where it ends up and who is it exposed too.` 5.4 million people in the UK have Asthma, 1.1 million of those are children, and with more and more construction sites popping up all over our towns and cities, it’s getting a lot harder to protect our little ones. We are learning more and more every day and moving from just measuring to awareness and understanding. The Action will be the most difficult yet crucial stage. We’ve partenered up with Gaia Group UK to deliver a project that fits firmly into the action phase in the construction sector. The reductions will be both pollution and costs 😉 More news to follow very

Jonathan Edwards MP ‘Delighted’ to attend our Air Quality Launch...

Great quote from Jonathan Edwards MP on our Think Air launch. Jonathan Edwards MP said, “I was delighted to be invited to attend Ysgol y Bedol for the launch of the ‘Think Air’ initiative in raising awareness of air quality through user-friendly technology. “I was grateful to meet with Jo Polson, the co-founder of Vindico and a local constituent, who has developed this idea with his colleague Ryan Griffiths and Professor Paul Lewis of Swansea University who is also an adviser to the Welsh Government on Air Quality. “I witnessed the fantastic learning opportunities for the children who were present, to better understand the science and importance of clean air, and, interact with innovative digital technology “It appears this initiative has incredible potential for both businesses and the wider public.” Well said 🙂 If you’d like to know more get in touch, it’s an exciting area and we think we are doing great
